Overview
Bruce Burwell has in-depth knowledge of contracting strategies including Alliancing, IPD, and Collaborative Contracting projects. He possesses over 35 years of Project and Construction Management experience in the Power, Industrial, and Infrastructure Industry including electrical/mechanical systems and Hydro-Electric generator rehabilitations.
He offers an in-depth understanding of project lifecycle and project development methodologies. He has written Project, Programming, and Construction Management governance and conducted various process, procedure, and organization PEER Reviews. He’s been responsible for all phases of Project and Portfolio Management from project implementation throughout project closeout. Provides leadership in project management including design, cost, schedule, quality, material control, and contract work. Chair to the Construction Industry Institute (CII) University of Texas Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Research Team and Chair of the CII Power Utilities and Infrastructure Implementation Committee.
He was the first to implement Industrial Integrated Project Delivery (I2PD) as a pilot project for Ontario Power Generation. He led the Ontario Power Generation I2PD team in the development of the Multi-Party agreement and the creation of the project templates needed for the planning and execution of the Pilot Project.
